The Lao Rugby Federation (LRF) is pleased to announce Dustin Penrod as the player sponsor of Thanongsone "Tarm" Xaysongkham.
Tarm, a longtime member of the Vientiane Wild Hogs and rugby enthusiast based in Vientiane, recently come back from an injury. He made his post-injury debut at Kowloon RugbyFest in Hong Kong, where he represented Laos as part of the DAC Lao Nagas and then as a member of the DAC Men’s Lao National Team in the 2019 Asia Rugby 7s Trophy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Mr. Penrod’s support comes as part of the LRF’s Player Sponsorship Initiative, which grants businesses and individuals the opportunity to sponsor players and staff as they represent Laos at elite international competitions. Since its inception in 2010, the Player Sponsorship Initiative has made it possible for the Men’s and Women’s Lao National Teams to travel and compete at the international level.
The Lao Rugby Federation would like to extend its appreciation to Mr. Penrod for his generosity in sponsoring Tarm.
